Greater Sydney training questions, answered.
Can Catch arrange group training in my Greater Sydney council ward?
You can enquire about a group session at your workplace or a suitable nominated venue across Greater Sydney. Catch confirms the course, trainer availability, venue, practical equipment and delivery arrangements before accepting the booking. Your exact suburb and address are more useful than a ward name alone.
Which courses can a Sydney workplace or community group discuss?
Discuss First Aid, CPR, education and care First Aid, RSA, RCG, food safety, barista, child protection, White Card or LVR and CPR requirements. Course approvals, prerequisites, delivery formats and assessment conditions differ. Catch confirms which options suit the proposed group and venue.
Do I need to know my ward before contacting Catch?
No. Provide your suburb, proposed venue, course needs, estimated group size and preferred dates. The ward directory is a way to find your council area; it is not an enrolment requirement. Use the NSW Electoral Commission address finder if you need an official ward boundary check.
Does a ward listing mean Catch has a classroom there?
No. Ward names identify geographic enquiry areas. They do not advertise a permanent Catch classroom, a public class in every ward, or a partnership with the local council. Check the actual Catch training locations and the venue address on your booking confirmation.
Where are Catch’s Greater Sydney training centres?
The Sydney locations listed on this website are Blacktown, Campbelltown, Hills District at Baulkham Hills, Liverpool and St Marys. Compare the live course dates and location pages. Not every course runs at every centre, and these locations are not ranked by distance from each ward.
What if my council does not have wards?
Burwood, Campbelltown, Canada Bay, Hawkesbury, Mosman, Strathfield and City of Sydney are listed as undivided councils in the checked NSW Electoral Commission sources. You can enquire using the council area and your suburb without choosing a ward.
Can we organise training for staff working across several wards?
Yes, discuss the team’s locations and the outcomes each role needs. A shared suitable venue, several cohorts or separate public-course bookings may be options. Include travel and roster requirements so Catch can help plan the arrangement.
Can a group request early mornings, evenings or weekends?
Catch is open seven days a week. You can request dates and times around your team’s roster, including early mornings, evenings and weekends. The course requirements, trainer availability and venue arrangements must be confirmed.
Is there a minimum group size or a fixed ward training price?
Request a quote with the course, estimated participant numbers, suburb, venue and timing. Catch confirms the proposed group fee and arrangements. A public-course price, bundle saving or ward listing does not establish an onsite group price.
How should one person book a course?
Compare live public classes through the course pages or the Book a course page, then choose the available date and actual training venue. A group enquiry does not reserve a place in a public class.
Which First Aid course should an education or care team compare?
Compare Provide CPR HLTAID009, Provide First Aid HLTAID011 and Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting HLTAID012 against the units required for each learner’s role. Check the course page and ask your employer or Catch if you need help choosing the appropriate option.
Where did the ward names come from?
The directory was checked against NSW Electoral Commission council pages on 19 October 2026. Greater Sydney follows the 33-council scope used in the NSW Sydney Plan and this website’s existing Sydney guide. The official council links and address finder should be used for current boundary questions.
