What happens if my trainer is sick or unwell?

Any Trainer who is unwell with cough, fever, sneezing or any other illness on or before the course date cannot come to the centre. The course will be cancelled where we cannot find a replacement trainer and students will be contacted as soon as the decision is made via SMS/Call and Email. There is potential that the course could be cancelled upon the day of training, we do apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused however maintain that this is in the best interest of our students and staff health and wellbeing.

What happens if I become sick or unwell?

Any Student who is unwell with cough, fever, sneezing or any other illness on or before the course date will be refused entry to the training centre and asked to seek immediate medical advice. This include students who have taken medication such as paracetamol, ibuprofen or other medication which reduces or masks the symptoms. These students will need to contact us with proof of medical advice from a General Practitioner or wait 21 days before a reschedule is approved.

What are the changes to CPR Training?

CPR Training – Students will not be required to demonstrate mouth to mouth breathing on Mannikins on CPR or First Aid courses. Student may simulate breathing according to the trainer’s advice. This could be conducted as a pause for breathing during the training assessment. Students will only perform chest compressions as instructed by the trainer.

Will I have access to hand washing and sanitation during my course?

Students will be given instruction to wash hands regularly while in the centre, such as before training commences, before and after breaks and sanitize between washing.
Hand washing is encouraged to be done for 20 seconds or more each time.
Antibacterial wipes and sanitizer are available to students to protect themselves. Students who are not sick but wish to wear a mask are welcome too of course. We only recommend the use of masks to remind students not to touch their face or mouth. We will dispose of any equipment or consumables which may become contaminated.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Cancellation conditions apply to all current bookings, however we are offering credit for students who cancel inside 7 days from their course date, to use towards a course of the same or equal value in the future, once they have made the decision that it is appropriate for them to return to public training and/or they are well enough to do so.
