Course description: Each year, one if five Australian adults suffer some form of mental illness.   Workplace stress affect millions of Australians every year and is a major contributing factor to our mental illness epidemic. In this course a qualified counsellor will teach participants how to identify and better understand workplace stress and it’s causes.  Participants will also learn strategies and tips for responding to workplace stress and reducing its impact on the lives of their colleagues and themselves.

The course is suitable for workplace leaders who are responsible for the well-being of other staff and is also suitable for staff who are suffering from workplace stress.

Course outcome:  Participants will receive a certificate of completion in Workplace Mental Health.

Entry requirements: Minimum age 18 years

Course content:

  • What is stress?
  • Stress manifestation in the workplace
  • Identifying stressors
  • Self – induced stress
  • The wrong ways to deal with stress
  • The right ways to deal with stress
  • How do you react to stress?
  • Strategies and tips to break free of stress
  • When to seek treatment for yourself or others in the workplace

What to bring:

  • You must bring one form of photo identification. Ideally an Australian driver’s licence or your passport.
  • Please bring a pen.
  • Please arrive 15-minutes before the scheduled start time so that your Catch Training facilitator can check your ID and sign you in.

Duration: This course will run for one day from 9am to 5pm.
